Litigation Paralegal

Summary.  The paralegal will provide support to attorneys through case review, documentation preparation and other related tasks to support a busy litigation practice with a focus on the defense of personal injury cases including medical malpractice. 

Essential duties and responsibilities.  The candidate will perform legal and factual research, organize and analyze medical records, prepare written reports, draft legal documents such as answers, motions, and discovery, organize and track case files, and conduct preliminary investigations.  Superior communications skills are a must.  Trial experience is a plus. 

Qualifications.  The candidate is required to have a paralegal certificate, at least two years of experience as a paralegal, thorough knowledge of legal principles and practices, thorough knowledge of medical and legal research, thorough knowledge of litigation computer software and general knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure.  A Bachelors degree is a plus.
