August 21, 2019 Monthly Meeting

12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.

Topic:

Credit Reporting 101: Learn about credit reports, including how they are created, how to read them, and what to do when they contain inaccurate information. CR101 will also introduce you to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and some of its core consumer protections.

G. John Cento has been practicing credit reporting law for almost 20 years. For more than six of those years G  represented two of the three national consumer reporting agencies, Trans Union and Equifax. Since then G has represented consumers against the consumer reporting agencies and furnishers of personal credit data when they inaccurately reporting credit data and violate the FCRA. G has litigated hundreds of FCRA cases in federal district courts across the country. G is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates and a frequent speaker on credit reporting law.
