Does AI Know Why the Chicken Crossed the Road?

Managing Risk for Employers in the Age of AI


Join Shelley Jackson and Chloe Craft for an engaging discussion of compliance and risk management considerations surrounding the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and algorithmic decision-making tools in hiring and other employment-related contexts. The presentation will explore recent regulatory and litigation trends, in addition to identifying best practices and practical tips to help manage risk while leveraging the power of generative AI and other tools.

1.0 Hour of CLE will be provided for all attendees.



Chloe Craft focuses her practice in the area of labor and employment law. Ms. Craft assists clients in an array of employment matters, including drafting agreements, conducting legal research, reviewing workplace policies to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws, and representing clients in employment related litigation in federal and state court. Prior to joining Krieg DeVault, Ms. Craft served as a Summer Associate with the law firm, assisting on a variety of matters. Ms. Craft also served as a Legal Intern with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.


Shelley Jackson's practice includes employment law, professional ethics and compliance, and data privacy law, with a strong focus on serving healthcare and non-profit clients. She possesses strong professional expertise, including her prior service as in-house counsel and chief privacy officer with a multi-national corporation. Shelley counsels and advises employers of all sizes throughout every aspect of the employment relationship. She routinely handles internal investigations, risk management and regulatory compliance matters, and is a seasoned litigator.  Shelley serves as a non-profit board member with The Milk Bank, Indiana Bar Foundation and as a corporate advisory board member of Reveal Risk, a cybersecurity consulting firm.
